Update 29th June, 2020
The new guidance from British Triathlon is that:
From 4 July in England, the government will allow up to six people from different households to meet up and exercise outside with social distancing in place. This means that six club members may train together even if they are all from different households and club coaches may deliver formal club activity in ratios of 1:5. Groups in excess of six may train together only where club members from a maximum of two households are meeting together. If a coach happens to be from one of these households then coached activity would be permitted. Where it is possible to keep 2 metres apart you should. Where it is not, you should keep a social distance of ‘one metre plus’, meaning you should remain one metre apart, while taking mitigations to reduce the risk of transmission.
We are now holding some small running and swimming groups to test things out and some groups of up to 4 cyclists are joining forces and gradually getting back to a new normal! Please email if you have any questions at [email protected]
Update 18th March, 2020
LTC and Corona Virus
Unfortunately we have been advised by both British Triathlon and England Athletics that as an affiliated club LTC must suspend any events or group sessions for the foreseeable future. This is hugely disappointing and frustrating.
We are, however, being encouraged to maintain our own personal fitness and keep active during this time, while following the government guidelines about safe distance and safe exercise environments. We know that a lot of you will continue to support each other through the various whats app groups but sadly we cannot organise anything as LTC until told otherwise.
