Club Safety: Risk Assessments
The LTC committee and the Swimming, Cycling and Running Captains have taken the responsibility of preparing Risk Assessments and making them accessible to all. Members are strongly encouraged to make themselves familiar with these Risk Assessments and provide feedback where they feel they can be improved.
Note: There is no intention that who ever the Swim, Run or Cycling Leaders are on the day to take responsibility for any participants during a sports outing. It is the responsibility of the participants taking part to be familiar and prepared for the event, using the Risk Assessments as a guide.
Individual Members of the club have a duty of care not only to themselves but to members of the public and to the persons with whom they are swimming, cycling and riding. The duty of care requires you to consider the consequences of your acts and omissions and to ensure that those acts and/or omissions do not give rise to a foreseeable risk of injury to any other person.
